Watermark is an Australian certification mark applied to water supply and drainage and pipeline systems. The Australian pipeline industry attaches great importance to watermark standards. If the implementation is reasonable, the residents of Australia and New Zealand will be full of confidence in their water quality. Watermark's standards have restrictions and requirements on almost all water products entering Australia.

According to the Australian standard, watermark itself does not directly issue watermark certificates to manufacturers, but is certified by an Australian third-party organization on the premise that the applicant's products meet the watermark standard.

Watermark has formulated different specification requirements for the "risk" degree brought by different pipelines and water supply and drainage products. Watermark is divided into level 1 and level 2 according to the degree of risk.

Watermark level 1 is a requirement for high-risk products (cold and hot water supply system)

Level 1 requires that the products comply with mp52 or Australian pipeline standards, and the corresponding certification specifications comply with iso/iec guide 67.2004. System 5 includes detection, evaluation and quality supervision systems. The products must meet the relevant requirements before being awarded watermark level 1.

Typical products: water heater / hot and cold water pipes and accessories / faucets and valves / sanitary equipment, toilets, bidets / high-risk appliances / water filtration and water treatment design

Watermark Level 2 is the requirement for low-risk products (sanitation, drainage, drainage system)

Level 2 requires that products comply with mp52 or Australian pipeline standards, and the corresponding certification specifications are in accordance with iso/iec guide 67.2004. System 1b mainly tests and evaluates the conformity of products, and issues watermark Level 2 certificates when appropriate.

Typical products: Sanitary drainage, drainage pipe fittings / valves, drainage valves / appliances, low and medium hazard appliances
