Columbia retie certification

Based on the safe use of electrical supplies, the Ministry of energy of Colombia issued requirements on how to ensure the safety of electrical production, application, transmission and other aspects in 2004.


Retie (regnamento tecnico de installaciones electricas), as the technical legislative body of Colombia, implements and revises the standard technical regulations for electrical equipment. It emphasizes and describes in detail the testing and installation requirements of each electronic and electrical products used in Colombia (including parts and household appliances, telecommunications and communication products, commercial electrical products, etc.). As long as the products listed in this "standard technical regulations for electrical equipment" must be compulsory to obtain certification. Electric products with AC power of 200W and above 25V must have retie certification before they can be exported to Colombia. When customs clearance, the customs will check the relevant retie certificate.


Generally, the content of Colombian standard is also established on the basis of international IECEE standard, and additional clauses are added according to national conditions.


Regulation retie is a regulation issued by the Colombian government for the safety of the following electrical installations:


Protection of human health and life


Life protection of animals and plants


Environmental protection


Prevent practices that may mislead users
